Free valuations for collectibles in Winchester
A NATIONAL auctioneers firm is coming to Winchester to value items next week.
Warwick and Warwick is offering free appraisals of collectables at a valuation day at the Royal Hotel, St Peter Street, on Tuesday, July 10 from 9am-1pm.
The company has experts in coins, banknotes, stamps, postcards, medals and die cast toys and models.
A spokesman said: “Many people do not realise that they have possessions of value, especially postcard collections, where the black and white real photographic views, such as those illustrated can fetch from £5 to £50 each, especially if there is a close up an early omnibus or a traction engine.
“Coin collections are also fetching high prices at present, especially those made of gold, the value of which has rocketed in recent months.”
Home visits are also possible for large collections. For more details call 01926 499031.
