A DAY of fun will be taking place at Hunter Park in Twyford near Winchester to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
Running from 12-noon until late on Saturday, June 2, organisers are hoping to raise money for Twyford Community Project.
It aims to provide a new hall for villagers, especially youth groups.
It will receive half the cash, while the rest will go to the refit of Twyford Parish Hall’s kitchen.
Attractions at the fun day will include a talent show, cookery contest and a real ale bar.
There will also be a fancy dress contest, and a competition to find the ‘best dressed house’ in Twyford.
For more details about the event, and the contests, call Helen Scaiff on 07887 516559 or 01962 712017.
Entry is free but visitors need to bring their own chairs.
