Winchester police have shutdown a city centre property after a crack house closure order was approved.
Magistrates agreed to the action at City House, City Road last Friday, barring anyone from entering for three months unless authorised by police.
Officers took steps after neighbours reported their lives were being made a misery by noise and anti-social behaviour.
They reported blatant drug use and visitors coming and going from the flat.
PC David Brown, of North Walls police, said: “This closure order has been a result of working with the owner A2Dominion, Winchester Council and local residents.”
Pc Brown added: “Information supplied by the public has been vital and we’d urge residents to contact us if they are suffering similar problems.
“Don’t put up with anti-social behaviour, we can and will do something about it with your help. We will continue to take positive and robust action against anyone involved in drug-related crime.”
City councillor John Cooper, portfolio holder for communities, safety and public health, said: “We are committed to tackling anti-social behaviour and take a firm stance on the supply, use and misuse of drugs. By working with the police, we were able to take action and ensure that the matter was fully dealt with.
“Our residents have a right to feel safe in their homes and the City Council will work tirelessly to safeguard that right.”
Anyone with any information on anti social behaviour is asked to contact police on 101.
