POLICE are warning Winchester residents to tighten home security after recent laptop thefts.
Burglars struck a house in Princes Place, Stanmore between 9.45pm on Thursday, February 9, and 11am the following day.
The Silver Apple Mac Pro Book laptop is worth around £900. Its serial number is W8042ME280M and model number is A1278.
Another laptop was taken in a burglary in Brassey Road, Fulflood, also between February 9 and 10.
Investigating officer PC Craig Robinson said: “Did you see anyone acting suspiciously in these areas at these times? Have you recently been offered a laptop for sale? If so, please contact us.
“I’d also like to remind residents to be vigilant with home security—ensure doors and windows are locked and secure, if you are in a different part of the house or are going out, even if only for a short period of time.”
Anyone with information on either incident should contact PC Robinson at Winchester Police Station on 101, via hampshire.police.uk/internet/contact/message_officer.htm or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
