Would this be the SAME Joseph Grimshaw who was charged with stealing from a charity box in Barclays Bank in Jewry Street in November 2009, then aged 33 and resident at Westview House hostel in Winchester? If not, it's an extremely unlikely coincidence.

I think I detect a pattern emerging here- perhaps the Magistrates should have given him a community service order to be served throughout next November and December? Preferably on an uninhabited island somewhere.

Wonder whether he might be able to throw any light on the stolen British Legion charity box from the Sutton Scotney doctors surgery this year?!

Lets be fair to this guy- at least he's demonstrating support for a range of charities, not just parasitizing one!

He stole goods worth £115 (plus whatever was in the charity box), but only got fined £70. Where's the deterrent effect in that?
