STAFF at a Romsey-based research and development company have raised nearly £15,000 for a Hampshire children’s hospice since the start of the year.
Employees at Roke Manor Research are to hand over £14,771 to Sutton Scotney-based Naomi House next month.
Roke’s internal communications manager Nicki Denbigh said: “Supporting this charity has been a real success this year and we have raised a a record-breaking sum.”
The cash was raised at various events organised by Roke’s Caring Hands programme.
Nicki added: “For our charity programme this year we have tried to get more employees involved including our directors.”
Roke’s managing director, David McDonald made a parachute jump over Salisbury Plain in the autumn, which raised over £1,200.
“It’s been a real challenge and I enjoyed every minute of it. I am so pleased that so many at Roke were very happy to sponsor me for such a great cause,” said David.
Roke staff also staged a comedy night, a quiz night and took part in the Great South Run.
