A FUN day is coming to Bishopstoke later this month.
The event has been organised by Sally and Tony Willis in aid of charity Bowel Cancer UK with the hope of raising at least £2,000.
It will be held at Bishopstoke Working Men’s Club on Saturday, August 20 and will feature a bouncy castle, a barbeque and the chance to win donated prizes from local businesses and tickets to attractions in an auction.
The couple and some friends will also embark on a 75 mile bike ride to Fordingbridge and back to raise money.
They hope to raise awareness of the signs and symptoms of bowel cancer, following the sudden death of Sally’s close friend Angela from the disease in 2009.
Sally said: “Angela was such a kind and positive person, and we wanted to do something fun in her honour to help others affected by the illness that took her from us.”
