A CHARITY concert is being held at Winchester Guildhall that will be hosted by ITV newsreader Alastair Stewart.

He will be joined by Captain Ian Johnson for the show that will feature the Band of The Adjutant General’s Corps.

The SONG (Sounds of New Gospel) from Foundation Music at the University of Winchester will also be there.

The concert – entitled Remember the Fallen, Care for the Living – will also feature Sergeant Gary Chilton, lead singer of The Soldiers.

The show starts at 7.30pm on Saturday, April 16 and tickets cost £20 or £15 for concessions with family tickets available.

Proceeds will go to the charities chosen by the Mayor of Winchester, Cllr Richard Izard, which include Help for Heroes.

The others are the Winchester Live at Home Scheme and the Joe Glover Trust, which helps children with cancer.
