A teenager has been charged with offences against the Hunting Act in the Bramdean area near Alresford.

Anthony Pullen, 19, of Ash, near Aldershot, has been charged with the offence of pursuing a wild animal with a dog and will appear at North West Hampshire Magistrates Court on March 10 2011.

The alleged incident happened on December 2.

PC Jon Radcliffe, one of the countryside and wildlife crime officers for the Winchester district, said: "As a result of close cooperation between Hampshire Constabulary Countrywatch officers, gamekeepers, the rural community and the CPS, Hampshire Constabulary have charged this man with this offence.

"This action shows the commitment that the force has to the rural community and we will continue to work towards trying to prevent and deter this type of offence.
