FIREFIGHTERS were called last night to a potentially major incident at an ammunition factory at Over Wallop.
Crews from Andover, Stockbridge and Winchester attended Wallop Defence Systems in Craydown Lane, Over Wallop, where military flares are made.
There was an incident involving a flare in a storage area which was speedily dealt with by fire crews.
The first call was around 10.45pm and the problem was dealt with by around 11.30pm.
Wallop Defence Systems was the scene of a major accident in 2006 when a worker, Anthony Sheridan, 37, of Pound Road, Over Wallop, was killed in an explosion.
