POLICE are concerned that prescription drugs could fall into the wrong hands after they went missing in Winchester.
The owner of the medication lost the valium and temazepam sometime between Saturday, November 6 and Tuesday, November 9.
During that time they remembered taking a taxi from Eastleigh to Winchester, officers said.
However, the cab firm had been called and there were no signs of the drugs in any of its vehicles.
As a result, police are still looking for the 166 valium tablets along with the 56 temazepam tablets.
Sergeant Andy Fisher of Winchester Safer Neighbourhoods Team said: “Obviously there are concerns should a young person find them and take any of the tablets, as there are quite a lot of them.”
Anyone who finds the drugs, which were in blister packs and boxes, should call Sgt Fisher on 101, or hand them in to any police station, surgery or hospital.
