Two South Croydon teenagers who attacked two Sanderstead newsagents were warned they could face a custodial sentence by magistrates this week.
John Bolton, 18, of North Walk, Addington, pleaded guilty to criminal damage, actual bodily harm, common assault and possession of cannabis following the attack at Elmfield Newsagents, on Elmfield Road on 19 November last year.
Darren Davies, 19, of Foxearth Road, Selsdon, pleaded guilty to assault and criminal damage.
An argument over a can of coke sparked the incident, where Bolton and Davies both punched and kicked John Dodson and Alan Knight, leaving them with several bruises.
Bolton then threw a sign through the shop door causing £138 damage.
Croydon magistrates adjourned the case until 17 May for a pre-sentence report.
