Police in Winchester are appealing for information following a burglary in Edgar Road on Friday, October 15.

Between 1.15am and 7.30pm a rear door to the back yard of a property in the road was forced and someone gained access via an insecure door.

A search was made and a 42 inch LG plasma TV, a 20 inch LCD TV, a laptop and an iPod, iPhone were taken.

Detective Steve Roman said: "Given the size of the 42 inch television, and the amount of items taken, there is a good chance a vehicle was involved in the commission of this burglary.

"There are a lot of properties in this street and there is a good chance the burglars would have been seen.

"If you saw anyone acting suspiciously, have any information about those responsible, or have been offered any of these items for sale, you should get in touch with police as soon as possible."

Anyone with information is asked to contact Winchester police station on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
