THE annual Hampshire celebration of rural sports takes place this Sunday (SEP12) near Alresford.
Author and cook Clarissa Dickson Wright will be a guest at this year’s event at Tichborne Park.
She will be signing copies of her new book Rifling Through My Draws.
The show offers attractions such as falconry displays, gundog demonstrations, ferret racing, a parade of hounds, a family fun dog show and the chance to have a go at archery, fishing and clay pigeon shooting.
Other attractions include Gun Dog scurry and Fly Casting Competition on the lake run by Fishing Breaks, an Inter-hunt Jump competition and Ladies Side-Saddle display.
There will also be more than 50 trade stands, including rural crafts and a varied choice of food and drink with a licensed bar.
Gates open at 9.30am and the main ring events start at 10 am. Admission is £8 for adults and just £1 for children under 16 and the event will be signposted from Alresford.
