NOMINATIONS for the third Annual Winchester District Sports Awards have now opened.
Set to be held on Thursday, December 2 in Winchester Guildhall, the awards are organised by The Winchester District Sport and Physical Activity Alliance(SPAA).
The event aims to recognise sporting achievement and services to sport.
Clubs, community groups and residents are invited to submit nominations in the following categories: Junior Sportsman & Junior Sportswoman (under 18); Senior Sportsman & Senior Sportswoman (over 18); Master Sportsman & Master Sportswoman (over 40); Junior Disability Sportsman & Sportswoman (under 18); Senior Disability Sportsman & Sportswoman (over 18); Coach of the Year; Volunteer of the Year; Official; Service to Sport Team (Junior & Senior); Club of the Year.
All nominees must either be resident within the Winchester District or registered to, or working with, clubs based in the area.
All entries must be supported by a written statement of no more than 200 words, explaining why you think the nominee deserves recognition.
Entries close on Monday, October 11. Nomination forms can be downloaded from the Winchester and District Sport and Physical Activity Alliance website on www.winchesterspaa.org.uk or via www.winchester.gov.uk and selecting Winchester Sports Awards.
