POLICE have named the woman who died in a crash near Bishop’s Waltham on Sunday (August 1) evening.

She was Susan Fox, of Clayhill Close, Waltham Chase.

Police said it is believed the 61-year-old lost control of her Peugeot 206 while attempting an overtaking manoeuvre on the B3035 between Bishop’s Waltham and Corhampton. They said her vehicle smashed into a tree and rolled over near Hazelholt Lodge.

She was pronounced dead at the scene of the single-vehicle crash, which happened around 6.20pm.

Simon Carson-Jones, her son, said: “At this time my family and I would appreciate some privacy to come to terms with our loss.”
