CHEF Alan Murchsion cooked up a recipe for success in Winchester as more than £1,000 was raised for charity.
He held the special culinary demonstration in front of a live audience at the Bulthaup showroom in The Broadway on Wednesday, June 30.
Joining him behind the hobs was Barbara Parry, Cancer Research UK nutritionist, who talked about how small diet changes can make a huge difference to health. The proceeds from the event will go towards Inspired Living, which raises money on behalf of Cancer Research UK.
The figure on the night was helped over the £1,000 barrier by auctioning off a cycle jersey signed by multiple Olympic gold medallist Sir Chris Hoy.
Later this year, Inspired Living is planning a charity cycle ride from Winchester to Gibraltar for a select group of riders.
Part of the challenge will be open to the public, with a fund-raising ride on the first leg from Winchester to Portsmouth on Saturday, September 4.
The charity is due to release more details about the event in the next couple of weeks.
