A PROMINENT Winchester building is poised to be relaunched as luxury homes.
The former reference library and library headquarters on North Walls has been renamed Austen House after the start of conversion into flats.
Developer Beechcroft launched its apartments last weekend.
The 13 one, two and three-bedroom apartments are being marketed at £350,000 and upwards.
Angela South, sales director said: “The former library is an attractive and interesting building with plenty of period style.”
Before its library links, the building housed St Swithun’s girls school until the 1930s.
