Overseas VIPs tour Winchester

A GROUP of overseas politicians toured the Winchester district last Friday (March 12).
Joined by the city’s MP, Mark Oaten, a party of eight visitors from Commonwealth nations explored the area.
Their schedule included visiting a watercress farm near Alresford and going to Winchester Cathedral and the city’s Great Hall.
Their programme also included lunch with the Mayor of Winchester, Cllr Dominic Hiscock, at Abbey House in The Broadway.
The visiting MPs came from Africa, Australia, Asia and the Caribbean.
