A SUMMIT to discuss the impact of the recession on charities is to take place in Winchester.
It will be held at the Middle Brook Centre in Middle Brook Street on Wednesday, November 18, from 10am to 1.30pm.
Members of charities large and small are being invited to take part in a Question Time style event with a panel of experts.
They will include Andrew Smith, chief executive of Hampshire County Council, and Paul Chamberlain, who chairs Community Action Hampshire.
Stuart Etherington, chief executive of the National Council for Voluntary Organisations, and Tim Moran, key contracts manager for NHS Hampshire, are also booked.
Sue Dovey, chief executive of Community Action Hampshire, who will also be on the panel, said: “None of them are afraid to speak their mind and there’s every chance we’ll get a fairly vigorous debate.
“If you add to that the changes and uncertainty in the third sector at the moment, then it looks like a perfect opportunity for people to come along and pose some testing questions.”
