WINCHESTER firefighters and soldiers will be raising money for charity by pulling a vintage fire engine up the High Street.
Crews from the North Walls station and instructors from the Army Training Regiment and Worthy Down base will take turns to pull Boris from the Guildhall on The Broadway to the Buttercross on the High Street.
The event – called Heave for Heroes – will be launched by reality TV star Lucy Pinder who lives in the city.
Proceeds will go to the Help for Heroes charity that helps servicemen injured on active service.
It will be held on Saturday September 5, starting at 11am.
