Winchester City Council’s tourism service is offering a free seminar for businesses to help enhance their welcome for disabled visitors, as the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games approach.
The seminar, called One Step Ahead, takes place at Marwell Wildlife on July 8 at 10am.
It includes a talk from Peter Norfolk, the twice Paralympic quad tennis gold medallist, on his preparations for the 2012 Games.
Winchester City Council’s Head of Economic and Cultural Services, Eloise Appleby, will outline how the council is preparing for the games.
The event will offer the opportunity for discussion, information exchange and networking between tourism businesses and Winchester City Council and Tourism South East staff, who will be on hand to offer training advice.
