A SOUTHAMPTON man was arrested after on suspicion of burglary and in possession of a knife near Mottisfont & Dunbridge railway station.
He is Alan Clarke and the 38-year-old is due to appear at New Forest Magistrates court today. Police were alerted by a member of the public who spotted a man action suspicious outside a non-dwelling during Saturday night.
Police carried out a search and detained the suspect and also stolen property. Mr Clarke was charged with burglar other than a dwelling, in possession of a knife-blade or similar pointed article and going equipped for theft.
