A CHAIN, sword and mace were the playthings for a group of Bromley primary school children when they had tea with the mayor.

Pupils from Years One and Two at St George's Primary School, Tylney Road, Bickley, visited the mayor's parlour at Bromley Civic Centre. They tried on robes, wore the famous chain and held the sword and mace, before taking refreshments on the lawn.
