PEOPLE in Winchester who want to stop smoking will now have the help of River Park Leisure Centre.
Quit4Life stop smoking clinics, that are currently being held at the Highcroft site in Romsey Road, have moved to the leisure centre in Gordon Road.
As a special welcoming treat to those currently attending, the centre is giving a free seven-day pass to access their facilities - including the gym, pool, and group activity classes.
There are still plenty of spaces available if anybody wants to join the group.
Gill Watson, project worker for Quit4Life said: "The quitters at Highcroft are making excellent progress, and we're really pleased to be offering our clients this special treat.
"There are still spaces in the group, so if there are any smokers out there that would like to join and need an extra bit of encouragement, please give us a call."
The sessions are held in the function room at the centre and start at 6pm, running every Tuesday. A Quit4life adviser will be on-hand until 7:15pm.
Medications to help smokers quit are available directly from the clinic.
All clients stopping with Quit4Life can receive eight weeks' treatment of Nicotine Replacement Therapy for a one-off prescription fee, (which costs nothing for those receiving free prescriptions).
These include patches, gum, lozenges and inhalator, and are supplied weekly as you remain smoke free.
Hampshire's stop smoking service is available to everyone by calling 0845 602 4663, texting QUIT to 60123 or by referral from your GP or any health professional.
Sessions are run by professional smoking cessation advisers across the county. For more advice on stopping smoking go to www.quit4life.nhs.uk.
