Further to Phoebe Merrick's fascinating article in the Romsey Advertiser on April 6, I thought it would be of interest to show the exact location of the now demolished Liberal Club at the southern end of Bell Street.
It can be quite clearly seen jutting out into the road adjacent and to the west of the "Mill".
This is taken from a photograph of the Ordnance Survey map of 1897.
