V2 Radio has expanded its coverage from Sussex into surrounding parts of Hampshire, echoing through the air to the New Forest.

The coverage went live on April 6.

The station said the changes mean Chichester will have significantly better coverage on DAB.

MD Justin Cottrell said: "We are now the only Proper Local Radio Station Covering Sussex and Hampshire. We have extended our reach so that we can continue to offer the appeal across our region, with a specific focus on a 25-mile radius of Chichester."

The chosen core target area for local news, travel, weather, advertising, and vouchers will encompass Portsmouth in the West, Brighton in the East, and Gatwick Airport towards the North.

The changes mean that Sussex will be dropped from its name to include listeners in Hampshire.

Listeners can expect the same local experience.

Despite the change, the station remains an inclusive platform for listeners further afield and online, setting the stage for possible future expansion.
