The Green Room Romsey wins Hairdresser of the Year

Over the last few weeks, the Hampshire Chronicle and Romsey Advertiser have been running a competition to see which salon or barber is the best of the best. 

Readers across both papers have been encouraged to send in their votes to crown the winner. 

The Green Room, in Latimer Walk, has been crowned our Hairdresser of the Year. 

Covering all things hair, tanning, teeth whitening and beauty related, the studio has impressed our readers so much that they have won the overall title for 2024. 

It was formerly Kutz Hair Studio, which was established in 2001. Current owner Francesca Dovey took it on in 2018 and has since expanded further to The Green Room.

Francesca said: “It's really good to win, especially after two years since we opened. This year, we have really been trying. We had loads of support from clients, family and friends which is amazing.

“It's absolutely amazing, the support of everyone has been great. As a new salon in Romsey, although it's a big space, we're a nice and friendly salon. Everyone's welcome. Some people come in just to see the dog! Nobody's scared about coming in here which is lovely.”

It's the first time The Green Room has been nominated for the award.
