Many thanks to Mrs A Wilkinson (Chronicle, February 15) for informing me that a photograph appeared in the Hampshire Chronicle showing our MP apparently demonstrating that pedestrian passage along Jewry Street is not impeded.
If this was Mr Brine’s intention, I am amazed, and even slightly disgusted, that he has the time to perform a stunt that encourages the retention of a situation that makes the environment more awkward and dangerous for people such as me.
If he wishes to qualify himself to opine on this matter, he is welcome to accept my standing invitation, to anyone, to don a blindfold and be guided by me along Jewry Street. This would require decency and courage. The only person who has accepted this challenge is Cllr Jackie Porter.
