The huge fireworks and bonfire event organised by the Round Table, will once again be held in Winchester.

The event will be held at the North Walls Recreation Ground on Saturday, November 4.

Featuring a food festival from 3pm, a torchlit procession from the Broadway at 6pm, the lighting of the bonfire at 7.5pm and the main display at 7.45pm.

What roads will be closed?

  • North Walls at the junction with Andover Road, Stockbridge Road and Sussex Street (6pm until 8pm)
  • Hyde Street at the junction with North Walls (6pm until 8pm)
  • Hyde Abbey Road (6pm until 8pm)
  • Park Avenue (6pm until 8pm)
  • Eastgate St turning to Friarsgate (traffic will only be able to go straight on to the roundabout)
  • The Broadway (6pm until 8pm)
  • Southgate Street at the junction with Jewry Street  (6pm until 8pm)
  • Nuns Road (6-9pm). No public access to River Park/Rugby Club (see Accessibility)
  • Hillier Way to River Park, Park Avenue and Birinius Road (6-9pm)
  • Upper Brook Street (all day)

The following roads will be closed from 8pm until 9pm

  • North Walls
  • St Peter’s Street
  • Middle Brook Street
  • Parchment Street
  • Lower Brook Street
  • Park Avenue
  • Hyde Street, junction with North Walls 
  • Upper Brook Street (all day)

How much are tickets?

Tickets are £10 and can still be bought online here

To enter the ground at North Walls, you need to go collect your ticket and wristband at Abbey Gardens or River Park Leisure Centre. 

Everyone must have their own ticket and wear their own wristband to enter the display area. Only babies in arms are exempt.

Can I join the torchlit procession without a ticket?

Yes, the torchlight procession is an annual tradition in Winchester and it’s free to join.

The procession will begin from Guildhall on The Broadway at 6pm, up the High Street and across Jewry Street before heading to the firework and bonfire display.

What time are the fireworks?

The bonfire will be lit at approximately 7.15pm, and the fireworks display is expected to begin at 7.45pm. 

Is there food available? 

The Food Festival will begin from 3pm in the main event arena at North Walls Recreation Ground exclusively for ticket holders only.

Several options will be available including hog roasts, donuts, pizza, burgers, and curries.
