Winchester City Council is inviting employers and those seeking new careers to join its second district-wide Jobs and Opportunities Fair.

The event, run in partnership with Winchester Jobcentre, will take place at Winchester Sport and Leisure Park on Thursday November 23, from 10am to 1pm.

Organisations and employers from a range of sectors will be able to meet local residents looking for new employment, including those contemplating changes of career and individuals returning to work after a break.

Employers will also have the chance to reach out to those who have settled in the Winchester district.

This fair also invites organisations providing information and support to residents about the rise of the cost of living to sign up for a stall.

Cllr Lucille Thompson, cabinet member for business and culture, said: “Our first Jobs and Opportunities Fair with Winchester Jobcentre was a great success and this second fair will offer another brilliant opportunity for employers in Winchester to connect with local jobseekers, who will also be able to access valuable help and support about the cost of living.

“Events like these reflect our commitment to supporting a vibrant economy and we are very proud to have such a range of organisations across our district.”
