The Army Flying Museum in Middle Wallop is preparing for a hectic autumn season schedule.

After a record number of guests attended the Museum in the first half of summer, they have been sorting out a wide array of events to attract more visitors.

The museum started its events series in 2022 and the past year had witnessed BBC Gardeners' Question Time, An Evening with Lady Carnarvon, with sell-out audiences.

The new programme will begin with one of three lectures, which seemed to appeal to military fans and sees a return to the museum by Glider Pilot Regiment expert Tony Bray.

The lecture series has been very popular for the museum after being made in the pandemic during lockdown.

Lectures are live-streamed from the Museum and have attracted audiences on a global scale.

The successful Brick Event is back on the weekend of September 23-24 with the team from The Brick People returning to the Museum offering a wide variety of Lego related activities.

You can visit the Museum and build super flying machines out of Lego bricks, take part in a speed build challenge, complete an anagram tail around the museum, and browse a wide range of models on display.

There will also be a Lego Duplo zone for young builders.

Set up for October half term, the museum will concentrate on “Creatures of the Night” with some fantastic craft activities for children and the much-loved model-making sessions.

As a special treat, The Critter Clan will be at the Museum on Tuesday, October 24.

Guests will witness nature brought to life with their outstanding creatures from around the world through their fun, educational and interactive display.

They’ll be able to get up close and personal with some of the most interesting animals, learning about their vital role within our precious eco-system.

On the 10th November, the Middle Wallop and Andover Military Choir will play in the Hayward Hall with an amazing Concert Remembrance.

The Concert sold out last year so customers are recommended to book as early as possible for this spectacular show.
