A VINTAGE festival is making its Romsey debut this weekend with music from the golden eras.

The Nostalgia Show festival is coming to Broadlands Estate from Friday, June 16 to Sunday, June 18 for visitors to step back in time.

Entertainment includes live music, street performers, traditional fairground rides, daily dance classes and the Nostalgia Dog Show.

‘Like the Beatles’ will open the festival on Friday evening with some ironic hits. Saturday will be hosted by Johnny Victory with performances from the Boogie Bumpers for the swing dance fans and The Signatures for a bit of 1970s northern soul.

Dawn Gracie takes over as host on Sunday, with acts including rhythm and blues band Miss Annie and the Midnight Shift as well as a good old-fashioned knees up with Carradine’s Cockney Singalong.

Shoppers will be able to explore the Village Green, with dozens of vintage and retro traders, and the Best Of British tent which will be home to local producers, makers and artisans.

Food options range from hog roast, toasties and street food to a traditional Victoria Sponge. Visitors will be able to wash it all down with locally brewed ale, spirits or coffee.

Meanwhile, on the sports day field there will be hula hooping, badminton, crazy golf and an 80’s fitness class with music and leg warmers to match.

Tickets are available for 30 per cent less online. Festival goers can camp the whole weekend, pitching up from Friday evening to Monday morning, with hot showers, water, toilets and waste facilities available for those choosing to stay in the estate.
