FANS of travel, adventure and sport will be able to enjoy an evening of award-winning films showcasing wilderness and adventure travel from across the globe.
The Kendal Mountain Tour 2023 – Adventure Films is coming to the Theatre Royal Winchester on Thursday, June 8.
The event, presented by the world’s biggest mountain festival, will feature guest speaker, author and adventure cyclist, Rebecca Lowe, and films covering cycling, skiing, mountaineering, swimming and running.

Stories include an ultra-runner advocating for Afghan women, female wild swimmers, some of the top cyclists in Africa, mountaineers on a trans-alpine journey, a skier whose descent went viral, a pair who created a rugged bike trail suitable for adaptive and non-adaptive riders, and a woman who ran the New York City Marathon aged 86.
Meanwhile, Rebecca Lowe will her story of a solo cycle ride across the Middle East – an 11,000km route through Europe and onto Iran, which she took in 2015 during the Syrian War in a bid to learn about the troubled region and its relationship with the West.
Kendal Mountain Festival is a celebration of outdoor culture, which aims to inspire people to explore, enjoy and represent mountains, wilderness and their cultures.
