A ROMSEY woman has been slapped with a hefty fine for dropping a cigarette butt in Southampton.
Karen Ansford, 55, threw down the cigarette end on Green Park Road on August 23.
At Portsmouth Magistrates' Court, she was found guilty of the offence by a single justice procedure.
Ansford, of Hunters Crescent, was fined £220 as well as ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £88 and court costs of £168.75. The total penalty was £476.75.
