Queen Elizabeth II's funeral will take place on Monday, September 19 and there will be a few locations in Hampshire screening the event. 

The Queen passed away peacefully, aged 96, Buckingham Palace confirmed in a statement, with the state funeral taking place 10 days afterwards.

King Charles III was formally declared during a historic Accession Ceremony just days after where he decreed that the sad day would be marked with a bank holiday.

Many supermarkets, shops and entertainment venues will close, there are some places that have opted to show a live broadcast of the funeral in Hampshire.

Where can I watch the Queen’s funeral in Hampshire?

Winchester Cathedral has organised a screening to take place on the Monday to show the Queen's funeral.

On the Hampshire County Council website it says: "Members of the public are warmly welcomed to join others inside the cathedral to watch the service."

Vue Cinemas at Farnborough, Eastleigh and Basingstoke will all be showing the Queen's funeral, but those screenings are all sold out already.

When is the Queen’s funeral? 

The Queen’s funeral will take place on Monday, September 19, with duties beginning at 6:30am, and the BBC coverage of the event starting at 8am. 

The Service at Westminster Abbey will take place at 11am while a later committal service at St George’s Chapel will also be broadcast.
