A Hampshire driver has escaped legal action after being caught on camera pulling off a dangerous late manoeuvre on the M27.
Footage released by the Hampshire Roads Policing Unit shows the driver of a Land Rover Discovery braking harshly before swerving over the chevrons onto the slip road at the Hilsea interchange (J12).
The driver behind, who captured the incident on a dash cam, was also forced to slam on the brakes in wet conditions to avoid crashing into the rear of the vehicle. A child's voice can be heard in the car after the near miss.
Hampshire Police confirmed the driver of the Land Rover accepted education at their own expense rather than face court.
Posting the video of social media, a spokesperson for the force said: "If only the driver of this Discovery was as sensible as the young passenger in the camera car they would have been paying attention and planning ahead."
