A LORRY fire has closed a major Hampshire road this morning.

A section of the A34 northbound will be closed from while police deal with an HGV which caught fire after losing a load of oil.

It is closed from the from J9 of the M3 to Bullington Cross (A303) following the incident that happened earlier today.

The northbound exit slip road is closed at J9 and traffic is described as "solid northbound" from the M27.

Delays of around 30-minutes are expected heading back towards Sutton Scotney.
