SCORES of villagers came out to support one of the last fetes of the summer at the weekend.
Bighton Village Fete and Dog Show returned on Sunday afternoon, September 1, traditionally marking the beginning of the end of summer.
The fete was held on Bighton Cricket Field with the theme this year of Farm Animals.
Some standout features of the fete included a birds of prey section, including owls and a falconry display, a pen with a couple of llamas
There were the attractions for kids, of all ages including a bouncy castle, a coconut shy and a striking red and white helter skelter.
The fun dog show attracted numerous entries.
As always the fete had a section with a number of vintage and classic cars.
The proceeds will be split between the village hall and the church.
