A new mural to celebrate the Winchester District has been unveiled at Winchester Bus Station.
The final design, created by Beth Gibbs, a second year Fine Art student from Winchester School of Art, highlights the role of the bus station in connecting the district with the centre of Winchester.
The chosen piece was voted for on the council’s social media pages by the local community and the Central Winchester Regeneration Committee selected the most popular from the three possible options.
Funding for the work was made possible through a Cultural Innovation Grant from Winchester City Council and the mural is the result of a strong history of collaborative working between Winchester City Council and Winchester School of Art.
