A WINCHESTER pensioner has been jailed for flouting court orders by driving whilst disqualified.
Police stopped Peter Brittain Ashcroft, 67, in a silver X-reg Peugeot 406 on Pound Road, Kings Worthy, on August 6, magistrates in Basingstoke heard.
Ashcroft, of Ramsay Road, Kings Worthy admitted the charge.
Magistrates jailed him for 16 weeks for his persistent breaching of community orders and the risk he posed to other road users.
The jail term was deemed served by the time Ashcroft had already spent in custody.
Magistrates also banned him from driving for six years and ordered he pay a £115 victim surcharge.
Ashcroft also admitted failing to surrender to custody and failing to comply with community orders.
The court heard he had been disqualified in October 2017 when caught driving with excess alcohol on the A33 near Kings Worthy.
