THOUSANDS of music lovers descended on a sun-bathed Wickham at the weekend and enjoyed music, writes James Johnson.
Top late 1970s new wave band Squeeze headlined the festival, which ran from Thursday and finished on Sunday.
One of Britain’s top bands of the past 40 years, the hugely-popular icons topped the bill on Saturday supported by John Ilsley of Dire Straits, the Tom Robinson Band and Ferocious Dog, among others.
Revellers got kitted out in colourful clothing and danced the day away at the annual event.
The family-friendly festival saw18 acts take to the stage, with The Remnant Kings and Northern Irish punk band The Undertones closing out the weekend on Sunday evening with their legendary Teenage Kicks.
As well as the rock music there was strong folk element and the appearance of a number of Morris dancing sides.
