THOUSANDS of residents flocked to a Hampshire village to support people suffering from cancer.

There were people of all ages at the Legacy Festival which took place at Highbridge Farm Eastleigh, Otterbourne from July 20 to 22.

Revellers enjoyed live music, lots of food and several activities including face painting while helping raising money to offer free counselling to people suffering from cancer.

As previously reported, Lyndsey Rowe, from Bishopstoke, set up the event in 2016 after her son Lloyd Green lost a five-year battle against cancer.

The 34-year-old had only one month left to complete a course at Eastleigh College and become a counsellor.

But he could not make his dream come true and died from a brain tumour in November 2015.

The festival has become a way to remember Lloyd and make his dream come true.

Lyndsey said this year's event has been a success. And added: "It went really well. It was family orientated and and children felt safe. It definitively brought joy to people and this is what I wanted."
