WINCHESTER'S annual festival of cycling returned this weekend, with hundreds of people taking to the streets of the city.

Winchester Criterium and CycleFest was back for a sixth year on Sunday.

There were a hosts of activities for both spectators and cyclist across the day, with the Criterium race, regarded as one of best, taking place in the heart of the historic city centre in the afternoon.

The event got under way with people of all ages getting their bikes out for the family ride. Hundreds of people took part, among whom was Winchester City Councillor Jane Rutter.
