WINCHESTER’S newest and possibly largest restaurant opens a week today.
Final preparations are being made at The Ivy on the High Street which welcomes its first customers on May 24.
Around 100 staff will work at the eaterie is in the building that was formerly LK Bennett boutique and Debenhams.
Reza Najafi, general manager, said: “There has been an incredible buzz in the city ahead of our opening, and with reservation lines now open we are looking forward to welcoming guests from Thursday, May 24.
“Guests will have the opportunity to experience relaxed yet sophisticated, all-day dining, in a beautiful environment – our onyx bar is the first element you see when you enter, paired with pendant lighting and marble flooring to create a striking atmosphere. Our terrace is perfect for those warmer months, located in the heart of the High Street.”
A preview evening is being held on Tuesday May 22 for invited guests.
