SNOW has been forecast in Hampshire by the Met Office and BBC.
A weather warning for wind is already in place for the county on Wednesday night but now forecasters say snow could fall on Southampton and Winchester at about 1am on Wednesday.
Temperatures are set to plunge to near freezing overnight with a "feels like" temperature of -3C in Southampton and -4C in Winchester.
A Met Office forecast for the south east of England says: "Windy and cold with scattered showers, most frequent in the west, giving some sleet and snow, mainly on hills although perhaps to lower levels for a time, and icy stretches.
"Minimum temperature -1 °C."
