SNOW has been forecast in Hampshire as temperatures are set to plunge across the UK.
Severe gales and snow showers caused travel disruption, school closures and left more than 4,000 people without power as Storm Caroline swept in to the UK earlier this week.
Forecasters were warning of a danger to life, with gusts of up to 90mph possible in northern parts of Scotland.

Southampton is set to miss the worst of the storm but thermometers are still expected to hit 0C over the weekend.
The Met Office and the BBC previously forecast light snow to fall in the city at about 5pm today, with the temperature set to reach freezing by midnight, although no snow is now forecast.
But forecasts of light snow for Winchester and Andover at about 5pm today still stand.
A Met Office weather forecast for Friday says: "It will be a cold and frosty, but sunny start to the day.
"It will remain cold with strong winds and a few snow showers, especially in the northwest. Maximum temperature 5C."
