A WINCHESTER man who pleaded guilty to producing and possessing cannabis with the intent to supply has been ordered to pay £10,000 as part of a confiscation order.

William Oakley, 27, of Springvale Road, Kings Worthy, was handed the order at Winchester Crown Court under the Proceeds of Crime Act after he made thousands of pounds from his crimes.

It comes after Oakley admitted one count of producing cannabis, one of possession with intend to supply, and one of acquiring or possessing criminal property back in July.

He was handed a 17-week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months.

Inspector Jon Turton, from the Winchester Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “Our teams will not tolerate drug-related criminality and we will continue to tackle offenders as a priority.

“I appeal to anybody with information about drugs offences to call 101 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
