PEOPLE celebrated the harvest, and the end of summer.
Celebrations of autumns were well underway at this year’s Hampshire Harvest Festival at Winchester Cathedral.
The event celebrates local agriculture and produce, featuring independent producers.
People flocked in from across the district to enjoy food, drinks and varied entertainment.
Among the this year’s attractions there were a falconry display, crafts for the youngest, horse-drawn carriage rides, farm animals and the Hampshire Fare market.
Participants had also the chance to listen to the fairground organs, learn about the Bat Society, find out about bee-keeping and climb onto vintage farm machinery.
The Grape and Grain’ area, celebrated local beers, ciders, sparkling wines and artisan gins.
from across the country, also made its return to the venue along with the traditional Scarecrow Competition.
The County Harvest Service featured the Cathedral Choir and Junior Choir with offerings of harvest gifts representing the produce of Hampshire.
The event was supported by a number of partnerships, notably The New Forest Show, NFU, Country Landowners’ Association, Hampshire Council Council, Sparsholt College and Hampshire Fare.
