TALENTED young dancers from Winchester will perform in a professional ballet production.
Stars of the future Jade Burdon, 17, from Soberton, Emily Jennings, 12, from Alresford, Serena Lee, 10, from Winchester and Alice Savill, 12, from Durley will perform in Coppélia alongside professional dancers.
Jade is from Roynon Dance in Swanmore, Emily and Serena are both from Florian School of Dance, and Alice is from Sue Merrett School of Dance.
Jade studies at Southdowns College, Emily at St Swithuns School, Serena at John Keble CE and Alice at The Westgate School.
The girls won their roles after nearly 200 hopeful dancers turned up to the two auditions held by English Youth Ballet.
EYB has helped many dancers progress into some of the world’s greatest ballet companies – including the Royal Ballet Company and English National Ballet.
The girls are now in rehearsal for their performances at the Kings Theatre Portsmouth from October 20 to 21.
The ballet will star international principal dancers Samantha Camejo, Monica Tapiador, Amy Drew, Phillip Tunstall, Matthew Powell and Trevor Wood.
